Andreas Maurer has almost three decades of experience with international organizations, including the World Trade Organization and the United Nations. He has worked on foreign trade statistics, including merchandise, service, and value-added trade, and contributed to recent important revisions of official concepts and definitions of international merchandise trade statistics and statistics on international trade in services. As a senior trade official for the WTO’s statistical program, he also oversaw the development and expansion of key statistical databases. He is a graduate of the university of Hohenheim in Germany and holds a doctorate in economics.
